Python Job: Python Developer

Objective Platform was founded in 2014 with the goal to bring objectivity & transparency into the marketing world by providing an automated single-source-of-truth. Today we work with some of the largest and most well-known brands, empowering them to make data-driven optimisations to their marketing investments.

As a Python Developer at Objective Platform, you’ll work in a team with Machine Learning engineers, Dashboard specialists, and other Python developers to create the backbone of Objective Platform. The team creates data pipelines and models for the product and work towards a scalable solution that can be used for all our clients. The data pipeline uses Airflow to trigger the processing steps. Our primary database is BigQuery, as we do a lot of the heavy lifting. Around that, we use Python for APIs, some processing, and modelling. You’ll work with the team to enable the work of Data Scientists and Data Analysts, who implement the existing product or create new insights, and for the development of entirely new features.

The role in a nutshell

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers to design and implement scalable solutions for complicated problems.
• You understand the internal and external users’ needs and help propose standardised solutions for their challenges.
• Designing and developing data pipelines that can be easily configured by our implementation team.
• Develop scalable APIs that will be used by different teams.
• Quickly prototype mini-applications using Streamlit.
• Contributing to software architecture & design.
• Work with the Product Owner and the rest of the team to create the best approach to solve a problem.

Requirements:

• Work experience working as a software engineer.
• You speak, write, think and dream in Python.
• You understand the design patterns behind scalable applications.
• You understand the importance of well-written tests.
• You use git, and you can find your way around a terminal.
• Fluent in English.
• Team player.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Affinity with statistical / machine learning models.

Bonus points

• A background in computer science or similar.
• Marketing knowledge.
• Open-source contributions.
• It would be great if you have experience with:
